    JUAN GRIS

Juan Gris was born in Madrid. He studied mechanical drawing at the Escuela de Artes y Manufacturas in Madrid from 1902 to 1904, during which time he contributed drawings to local periodicals. In 1906 he moved to Paris and became friends with Henri Matisse, Georges Braque Fernand Léger. After October 1925, Gris was frequently ill with bouts of uremia and cardiac problems. He died of renal failure in Boulogne-sur-Seine (Paris) on May 11, 1927, at the age of 40, leaving a wife, Josette, and a son, Georges.

Try the forms of nature through geometric shapes, fragmented lines and surfaces. Is adopted so-called 'multiple perspective' is representing all parts of an object in one plane. The representation of the world was going to have no commitment to look at things from a particular viewpoint, but with what is known about them. So at one time appeared on the same plane different views of the object: for example, is represented in front and in profile on a human face, the nose is in profile and eye front, a bottle on your vertical cut and horizontal cut. Since there is no single viewpoint, there is no sense of depth. The details are suppressed, and sometimes the object representing just one aspect, as with the violins, implied by the presence only of the tail thereof.

File:Juan Gris - Still Life with Fruit Dish and Mandolin.jpg    I like this picture because I like very much this art style. The charactheristic that I like more is the "multiple perspective" because it creates a good sensation.
